4 Days in Vail, Colorado

We were in Vail, Colorado this past weekend to celebrate Anthony's birthday! Jadyn was very excited to come along this trip because she loves the snow and skiing. Even though we have been traveling a lot lately, there is nothing like a fun, relaxing weekend away from home :)
The cold weather and snow really got us all into the holiday spirit! Anthony, Jadyn and I met up with Jenna and Kevin who live in Denver, and we had a great time spending the long weekend together.

We stayed at Hotel Talisa, a luxury resort in the heart of Vail that just opened. It was such a charming hotel, tucked away at the base of Vail Mountain. Being somewhat secluded was nice but we were also very close to shops and restaurants as they offered a shuttle every 15 minutes into Vail Village. I loved the heated infinity pool, fireside lounge and all the fun activities the Hotel Talisa offers, swimming, ice skating, fishing etc. They even offer hot chocolate and s'mores at night (which Jadyn loved) and movies. The employees were so kind and I loved the luxurious rooms!

Even though it was a short trip we had so much fun and really made the most of it! Check out everything we did below:

Day 1

First we flew into Denver and drove about two hours to Vail and arrived just in time for dinner! We checked into our beautiful hotel then headed over to Almresi, a super charming family owned German restaurant. It had amazing food that was perfect for a cold evening. We had a relaxing night because we knew the next day we would be skiing all day!

Day 2

Due to the snowfall from the previous night we thought the conditions would be perfect to hit the slopes early and ski all day. However, it was a little icy and not enough snow for all the runs to be open. It's been a little while since we all have skied but we got the hang of it pretty quickly. It was super fun (despite how sore I was the next day!) We ended our day at Vail Chophouse with a glass of wine and delicious food. The restaurant has great views of the slope!

Day 3

We all woke up exhausted and decided to have a chill day. We spent the day in Vail Village exploring the super cute boutiques and went to Sweet Basil for lunch, which was sooo good! It's located right in the heart of the village.  Later we all went to dinner at Gessner, the restaurant in Hotel Talisa, to celebrate Anthony's birthday. The food was delicious and it was nice to be in the comfort of our hotel! It was a perfect end to our last night in Vail.

Day 4

We woke up the next day and none of us wanted to leave lol. We walked around the hotel taking in the beautiful scenery and glistening snow. When we got cold, we went inside and sat by the fire with hot cocoa before heading back to Denver to catch our flight home!

Wow, this hotel does look luxurious! The snow and trees are like a winter fairy tale. I’ve never heard of Vail, but it’s definitely on my radar now. Your outfits are great, too!
